One year, un año, ein Jahr, один год, 一年

We have officially been married for

1.05 years
or
12.59 months
or
54.71 weeks
or
383 days
or
9192 hours
or
550+ thousand minutes
or
33+ million seconds

depending on your choice of units, and for some odd reason it still hasn't sunk it sometimes. Frequently, I stop and realize that I'm married. When did that happen? This is no way a reflection of how our marriage has been. I love being married to Tony. He has truly become my best friend and the most perfect partner God could have placed in my path. But, we're married. Strange.

God.

It has and always will be a desire for us to keep Christ at the center of our marriage. Honestly, there is room for improvement (but isn't there always?) I really think our biggest challenge in this area has been discovering what our relationship with God looks like individually within a marriage.

House.

Making such a massive commitment to a house is scary to me. (Ideally) that's where you're going to spend the next X years of your life. What if I don't like it? But that's far off. We don't know where we're going to be in four years. Will I be done with school by then? (I hope so!) So right now. We're saving. Paying off our student loans and saving. Thus far, we have paid off over 1/3 of our debt, but it still feels like there is so much left.

Babies.

Its everywhere. Before we were engaged, it felt like everyone was getting engaged/married. Now that we're married, everyone is having babies. Everyone! And let me say, baby fever has been a chronic condition thus far. But nope. Not yet. First, I have no time for that. Second, being just the two of us is nice. Third, we don't need a third reason.

Life.

This last year has been full of big changes and it has been wonderful, challenging and remarkable. I look forward to many more seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months and years with the man I married.

(I'm pretty sure he feels the same way...)
